About this resource

This program assists individuals fleeing domestic violence by providing crisis intervention services such as emergency shelter, a crisis hotline, advocacy, therapeutic programs for children, and support groups. It also includes self-sufficiency initiatives like transitional housing, advocacy, information and referral services, and life skills training. Community education and resources are available as well. The program typically lasts for 60 days, with the possibility of extending to 90 days.

Intake Process: -To obtain information, call the program -To gain access to shelter, a safety and stabilization assessment must be conducted before entry. This assessment can be performed by the agency or in collaboration with other organizations (Call to Safety, Gateway Center, Raphael House, Bradley Angle, IRCO, NAYA, Ecumenical Ministries of Oregon, Volunteers of America, UNICA, YWCA). If the shelter is full, applicants are advised to call back later, as there is no waitlist maintained.

Costs: There are no fees associated with the services.

Who can use this

  • Eligible participants include single women and women with children (male children must be under 18) who are escaping domestic violence, sexual assault, trafficking, intimate partner violence, or elder abuse.
