About this resource
Flexible Services or "flex funds" refer to non-covered services that complement the benefits provided by the Oregon Health Plan (OHP) via Coordinated Care Organizations (CCOs) aimed at enhancing care delivery and the overall health and wellness of members. The eligibility for these services is determined by the CCO. Examples of services may include: -Housing assistance (such as rent support, rental deposit aid [with a confirmed move-in date], utility payments, and housing programs for women and children) -Short-term motel accommodations (for individuals being released from hospitals; facing severe weather; having a scheduled move-in date for a new residence and needing temporary lodging; or escaping domestic violence) -Devices like cellphones, computers, and other communication tools -Specific educational resources or classes -Family and home support items (e.g., child health and safety products, parenting programs, household appliances, climate control items) -Gym memberships and fitness classes/equipment -Health and substance use prevention resources All flexible services are assessed individually by the CCO. It is important to note that these services are not designed for emergency situations. CCOs are not obligated to provide flexible services. Since these services are not covered benefits, denials cannot be appealed, although OHP members can file a complaint.
Intake Procedure: Contact or check the website for additional details.
Fees: None
