This program focuses on recruiting and assessing families who are interested in adopting children currently in the custody of the Department of Children, Youth, and Families.
Intake Procedure: Interested parties should call, and the intake line will accept collect calls.
Fees: There are no associated fees.
Who can use this
- There are no restrictions for general adoptions. For Special Needs Adoption, families must have a child under 18 who is legally free, has special needs, and is either in state-funded foster care or eligible for federal adoption assistance.
