This program recruits and evaluates families who wish to adopt children under the care of the Department of Children, Youth, and Families.
Intake Procedure: Interested individuals should call, and the intake line will accept collect calls.
Fees: There are no fees associated with this process.
Who can use this
- General adoption has no restrictions, while Special Needs Adoption requires families to have a child under 18 who is legally free, has special needs, and is currently in state-funded foster care or eligible for federal adoption assistance.
