About this resource
This initiative provides water nitrate testing kits, delivery services, and the setup and maintenance of a certified in-home reverse-osmosis system that can reduce nitrate levels to safe drinking standards (note that these systems are not certified for nitrate levels exceeding 25 mg/L). The specific services available depend on the tested nitrate levels, and not every household may qualify for all services. Representatives from the Oregon Health Authority (OHA), along with county public health staff and volunteers, will visit homes in the Lower Umatilla Basin Groundwater Management Area (LUBGWMA) to share information about well and nitrate testing.

Who can use this
- -Households must use their well for drinking, bathing, cooking, and dishwashing -Wells should not serve commercial purposes or belong to a public water system -Wells must be situated within the LUBGWMA of Morrow and Umatilla Counties -No proof of U.S. citizenship is required
