About this resource
The program, previously referred to as Section 8, provides long-term rental assistance on a monthly basis to eligible households. It is important to note that the Housing Authority does not own any properties; therefore, clients are responsible for finding their own approved housing.
Who can use this
- To qualify, a household's income must not exceed 50% of the median income for the area as determined by HUD. Clients are required to contribute at least 30% of their gross adjusted income toward rent, with a maximum of 40%. Additionally, the rent for the chosen housing must be reasonable, and the unit must pass an inspection.
