This initiative aids low-income households in lowering their utility expenses by offering energy-efficient solutions. Services may encompass attic and wall insulation, air sealing, and the repair or replacement of faulty heating systems, among others. The Weatherization Team also provides a rapid-response program for urgent energy and health issues, which operates on a quicker schedule but covers fewer types of repairs. This emergency program is exclusively available to homeowners, not renters. Participation in both programs necessitates certification from the Home Energy Assistance Target Program (HEAT).

Who can use this

To qualify, total household income must be at or below 150% of the Federal Poverty Level, and at least one member must be a U.S. citizen or qualified non-citizen. Completion of the Home Energy Assistance Target (HEAT) Certification is required, and homeowners of modular homes must own the land, while renters need written permission from their landlord.
