About this resource

This initiative provides one month's worth of rental assistance to eligible individuals and families, contingent on available funding. For a limited duration, those who qualify for assistance with rent and utilities may also be eligible for help with water payments.

Who can use this

Individuals and families with an income at or below 200% of the federal poverty level are eligible. Applicants must have an eviction notice and demonstrate the ability to make future payments. Renters are required to contribute 24% of the rental amount, with the agency providing a maximum of $750 in assistance.\n\nCOVID-19 UPDATE: Applicants must have a combined gross income at or below 100% AMI and show evidence of income loss or financial hardship due to COVID-19. Funds can cover expenses incurred from March 1, 2020, to December 30, 2020, including rent, utilities (water, sewer, electricity, gas), security deposits, and arrears for housing assistance over 30 days past due, applicable for those who did not receive unemployment benefits during the months seeking arrearages, including late fees.
