About this resource
This initiative provides support and creates opportunities for caregivers of individuals with disabilities by supplying trained individuals who can temporarily take over caregiving responsibilities.
Who can use this
- Applicants must have a documented disability in one of three categories: intellectual disabilities or related developmental conditions (such as autism, Down syndrome, genetic disorders), Acquired Brain Injury (ABI), or physical disabilities resulting in the functional loss of at least two limbs. Additionally, they must be Utah residents and U.S. citizens or legal permanent residents with a Medicaid Waiver. There are options available for those on the DSPD waiting list who have not yet received the waiver.
