About this resource
Utah law permits birth parents to anonymously relinquish custody of their newborns at designated Safe Haven locations without legal repercussions. The Department of Child and Family Services (DCFS) subsequently arranges for the child's immediate adoption.

- A newborn may be surrendered at a hospital by a parent or someone authorized by the parent.
