About this resource
Victim advocates support individuals impacted by criminal incidents by ensuring their fundamental needs are addressed, including access to food, clothing, shelter, and safety. They also offer information and referrals to victim services and act as a liaison with the criminal justice system after the event. Additionally, they assist with safety planning, crime prevention strategies, and provide transportation from the Victim Advocate office to court.
