The county clerk's office provides marriage licenses specifically for residents of Salt Lake County. These licenses can be utilized right away and are valid for a period of 32 days after they are purchased. Please note that refunds and extensions are not available. Licenses obtained in Salt Lake County are valid for use in any county throughout the State of Utah.
Intake Procedure: Apply online at: https://saltlakecounty.gov/clerk/marriage/
Who can use this
- Both individuals must be present during the application process. If either applicant is aged 16 or 17, additional documentation is required.
Documents you may need
- Divorce Decree - If a divorce has been granted within the last 30 days to either applicant, provide a certified copy of the divorce decree.; Photo ID — Proof of identity
