About this resource
This initiative is designed for young individuals aged 14 to 22, providing them with essential life and job-related skills. It includes training in employment skills such as recognizing job skills, crafting resumes, mastering interview techniques, and job retention strategies. The curriculum also addresses money and time management, dating, shopping, community safety, personal hygiene, and navigating public transportation. Instruction is delivered in high school and post-secondary classroom settings.
Who can use this
- Participants must be aged 14–22 and have a documented disability that affects daily living activities, with the expectation that UILC's services will enhance their independence.
