Helping Hands

The Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) offers reimbursement to home daycare providers for serving nutritious meals to children under 12 and adults with functional impairments. It aids these providers through various forms of support, including training, technical assistance, and monitoring. Providers receive education on nutrition and sanitation practices and are subject to a minimum of three visits each year, including two unannounced visits, to verify compliance with USDA meal guidelines and to ensure a safe and healthy environment for children.
