About this resource
This initiative provides financial assistance for occupational skills training, short-term certificate programs, short-term college credentials, adult basic education (ABE), and English as a second language (ESL) to boost employment opportunities and income for American Indians and Hawaiian Natives.
Who can use this
- Participants must be at least 14 years old, low-income, provide proof of descent, be residents of Utah, and identify as Indian, Native Hawaiian, or Alaska Native. The program should be completed within 12 months, except for high school students who can engage throughout their four years and start at any grade during the academic year.
Documents you may need
- Proof of Address; Income Verification — Proof of income for prior 6 months.; Photo ID — Two forms of ID (Photo ID and SS card); Selective Service Registration (men 18 and older), school documents where applicable.
