About this resource
The program targets youth between the ages of 14 and 22, focusing on life skills and employment training. It equips participants with essential skills such as identifying job-related abilities, crafting resumes, mastering interview techniques, and job retention strategies. The curriculum includes topics like money and time management, dating, shopping, job searching and retention, community safety, completing job applications, personal hygiene, and navigating public transportation like buses and TRAX. Training sessions are conducted in both high school and post-high school classroom settings.
Who can use this
- Participants must be aged 14–22 and have a documented disability that affects daily living activities, with an expectation that UILC's services will enhance their independence.
