The program assists in developing advocacy strategies for both individuals and communities, aiming to bring about positive changes for people with disabilities and their surroundings at local and state levels. It also offers direct support to individuals within their communities, ensuring successful integration for those with disabilities. Additionally, it provides training in self-advocacy skills, enabling individuals to effectively communicate and negotiate with agencies, service providers, employers, and others to secure necessary benefits, services, or accommodations.
