This program serves as a Safe Haven for newborns, enabling parents to safely leave their infants without fear of legal repercussions. Under Utah law, birth parents can anonymously relinquish custody of their newborn, after which the Division of Child and Family Services facilitates immediate adoption for the child.
Who can use this
- A mother or an authorized individual can drop off the newborn at the hospital.
