About this resource
This initiative creates volunteer opportunities for seniors, allowing them to assist clients with errands, offer friendship and companionship, and provide respite care for caregivers.
Who can use this
- Participants must be at least 55 years old; volunteers are required to be seniors aged 55 and above. They must also meet income criteria and commit to volunteering a minimum of 15 hours per week. Those seeking companionship should be elderly individuals who require assistance with grocery shopping, light housekeeping, meal preparation, socialization, transportation to medical appointments, or respite care for caregivers. There are no income restrictions for those looking for a companion.
