About this resource
This initiative provides rental assistance via the TANF program for families with children under 18. An intake is necessary, and once accepted, clients will engage in the Employment Pathways program, potentially receiving rent support within two to three weeks of starting. Priority is given to those facing homelessness or with eviction notices, provided they meet other eligibility criteria.
Who can use this
- Families with children under 18 are eligible, needing to qualify through TANF, be U.S. citizens or authorized to work, and demonstrate willingness and ability to work. Eligibility is assessed based on the current crisis, employment and housing history, and financial needs, with a focus on temporary crises lasting no more than four months. Families must show stability in housing and employment, be within 200% of the Federal Poverty Limit, and establish an emergency savings program while enrolled.
