This program recruits and evaluates families who wish to adopt children currently under the care and custody of the Department of Children, Youth, and Families.
Intake Procedure: Interested parties should call, and the intake line is available for collect calls.
Fees: There are no associated fees.
Who can use this
- General adoption has no restrictions. For Special Needs Adoption, families must have a child under 18 who is legally free, has special needs, is in state-funded foster care, or is eligible for federal adoption assistance.
