About this resource
This program offers mileage reimbursement for seniors aged 65 and individuals with disabilities living outside of Link Transit’s service areas in Chelan and Douglas Counties who cannot access transportation otherwise.
Application Process: Interested individuals should call or visit the website to apply. Riders have the freedom to select their own drivers and coordinate their rides directly with volunteer drivers. Each ride taken must be recorded on a mileage sheet, which riders must submit by the 10th of the following month to receive their reimbursement check. It is the rider's responsibility to compensate their drivers.
Cost: There are no fees associated with this program.
Who can use this
- Applicants must reside in specified areas of Chelan or Douglas County, specifically outside the Link Transit service area. There are no insurance prerequisites, and Medicaid eligibility is not required. Reimbursements are not available for mileage incurred outside Chelan and Douglas counties.
