Intake Process: Parents looking for help with their child's behavior start the process by filing an at-risk youth petition with Clallam County Juvenile and Family Services.
Cost: No fees are involved.
Who can use this
- To qualify as an at-risk youth, a juvenile must be absent from home for a minimum of seventy-two hours without parental permission, be uncontrollable to a degree that their actions threaten their own or others' health and safety, or have a substance abuse issue without any related criminal charges. Families must meet at least one of these criteria to access services through the at-risk youth supervision program. Parents need to clearly explain how their child meets these conditions and what steps they have taken to address the situation before involving the Court, as contacting the Court should not be their initial approach.
