This program assesses eligibility for state assistance aimed at supporting older adults and individuals with disabilities in accessing care and services that promote their independence.

Fees: Clients may need to pay a participation fee to access services, although those enrolled in WA Apple Health (Medicaid) might qualify for services without incurring this fee.

Who can use this

Aims to assist older adults and individuals with disabilities, with eligibility criteria based on care requirements and financial status. Generally, applicants must have a monthly income below $7,304 and countable resources (excluding their primary residence and transportation vehicle) limited to: $2,000 for a single adult, $57,547 for a couple, and $123,600 for a couple if one is hospitalized or in a skilled nursing facility. Individuals exceeding these resource limits may still qualify if they anticipate meeting the criteria within a month of application. Additionally, applicants must demonstrate an unmet need for help with at least two daily living activities or have a cognitive impairment requiring assistance with at least one daily living activity.
