Community Resource
About this resource
This program offers comprehensive financial assistance to adults identified as incapacitated by DSHS, who lack income or are part of the ABD program, potentially covering costs like rent, utilities, hygiene products, and transportation.
Intake Procedure: Clients need to call to schedule an appointment.
Fees: There are no fees associated with this service.
Who can use this
- To qualify, individuals must be recognized as incapacitated by DSHS due to mental health issues, physical disabilities, or participation in a chemical dependency treatment program that restricts their ability to work, AND have no income OR be enrolled in the ABD (Aged, Blind and Disabled) program. DSHS will assess earned income and assets to ensure they do not surpass income level guidelines. Certain government income programs, such as SSI, SSDI, and TANF, are excluded. Once approved by DSHS, priority for services is given to those who are homeless or at risk of losing their housing.
