This program recruits and evaluates families who wish to adopt children under the care of the Department of Children, Youth, and Families.
Intake Procedure: Interested individuals should call, and the intake line is able to accept collect calls.
Fees: There are no fees involved.
Who can use this
- General adoption has no restrictions, while Special Needs Adoption is available for families with children under 18 who are legally free, have special needs, and are either in state-funded foster care or eligible for federal adoption assistance.
