Who can use this

  • According to the McKinney-Vento Homeless Act, families or students are considered homeless and qualify for specific rights if they are: - residing in a shelter, motel, vehicle, or campground - living on the street, in a 24-hour restaurant, or at a bus station - displaced by a natural or manmade disaster (such as a flood, earthquake, or fire) - staying in a motel, abandoned building, trailer, or other inadequate housing - living with friends or relatives due to the lack of affordable housing - 'couch surfing' - or teenagers living independently.
