This program recruits and evaluates families who wish to adopt children under the care of the Department of Children, Youth, and Families.
Intake Procedure: Interested individuals should call; the intake line is able to accept collect calls.
Fees: There are no associated costs.
Who can use this
- General adoption has no restrictions. For Special Needs Adoption, families must have a child under 18 who is legally free, has special needs, is currently in state-funded foster care, or is eligible for federal adoption assistance.
