This program offers career planning, skills training, and assistance with job searches for individuals who are unemployed.
Intake Process: Interested individuals should call to learn about the schedule for weekly orientations. Following attendance at an orientation, they can call to schedule a personal appointment.
Costs: Participants may be eligible for financial aid covering tuition, books, transportation, and childcare from various funding sources.
Who can use this
- To qualify for worker retraining, participants must be currently receiving unemployment benefits, be eligible for them, have exhausted benefits within the last two years, or have received a written notice of an impending layoff from their employer. The Worker Retraining and WorkFirst programs cater to the unemployed, displaced homemakers, and low-income parents, contingent on eligibility and available funding.
