About this resource
This program provides financial support to low-income families, immigrants, refugees, pregnant women, and individuals who are elderly, blind, or disabled. It includes various assistance programs such as TANF/WorkFirst, AREN, Diversion Cash Assistance, Refugee Cash Assistance, and ABD.
To apply, individuals can call, visit the website, or go to any Community Service Office (CSO) to get an application. Once the application is submitted, DSHS will send a letter outlining the interview requirements. Clients in need of urgent financial help should consult their case manager. Additionally, the phone service features a callback option (virtual hold) allowing callers to enter their number and receive a return call when it's their turn. Callers may interact with multiple representatives; the first being a navigator who will assess whether they can assist directly or if another specialist is needed.
There are no fees associated with these services.
