About this resource
Facilitates a teen court aimed at mitigating or eliminating traffic violation charges for individuals aged 16 to 17.
Intake Procedure: An application must be submitted to the court, which can be found online.
Fees: A fee of $30 is required to transfer the case to Youth Court.
Who can use this
- Eligible participants are youth aged 16 and 17 who have never had a traffic infraction referred to a youth or teen court, do not have any violations under RCW Title 46, and are not currently under court jurisdiction for such violations. Negligent driving offenses are excluded from Youth Court, and teens can only participate if they acknowledge their offense.
