Who can use this

There are no restrictions on obtaining pet licenses. In most areas of King County, all dogs and cats aged 8 weeks and older must have a pet license. To qualify for the senior/disabled discount, the pet owner must be at least 65 years old or have a documented disability, and the pet must be altered. For service animals, the owner must provide documentation of their disability and a statement confirming the animal's status as a service animal, which must also be altered. A service animal is defined as any animal trained or in training to assist a person who is blind, hearing impaired, or otherwise disabled, and must be registered with an authorized service animal organization.
