About this resource
This initiative provides nutritional support and educational resources for low-income pregnant and post-partum women, as well as infants and children under the age of 5. Families can expect benefits worth approximately $150 each month. During the summer months, participants may also receive extra vouchers for farmers markets.
Application Process: Interested individuals can call or fill out an online form to check their eligibility and schedule an appointment. Services include home, office, or off-site visits. Applicants will undergo a nutrition assessment to evaluate their nutritional risk. Fathers, grandparents, and other caregivers are also permitted to enroll their children in the WIC program.
Cost: There are no fees associated with this program.
Who can use this
- Residents of Washington state who have a nutrition risk and whose income is at or below 185% of the Federal Poverty Level, including pregnant or postpartum individuals and children under 5, may qualify for assistance.
