Community Resource
About this resource
This program offers financial support to low-income families, immigrants, refugees, pregnant women, and individuals who are elderly, blind, or disabled, featuring various assistance options such as TANF/WorkFirst, AREN, Diversion Cash Assistance, Refugee Cash Assistance, and ABD.
Intake Process: To apply, individuals can call, visit the website, or go to any Community Service Office (CSO). After submitting an online or paper application, applicants will receive a letter from DSHS detailing the interview process. Those needing urgent financial aid should consult their case manager. Additionally, the phone service includes a callback feature (virtual hold) allowing callers to enter their number and receive a return call when it’s their turn. Callers may interact with multiple representatives; initially, a navigator will assess the call to determine the most suitable assistance for the caller's needs.
Fees: There are no fees associated.
