Appointments are made available randomly once each day, Monday through Friday, with limited availability on weekends, primarily when cancellations occur. Drop-in services are not offered. It is advisable to use the website for quicker appointment access. For inquiries, the Energy Assistance Appointment and Information Line is available 24/7, but callers should be ready to listen carefully to the automated message and note the necessary documentation for their appointment.

Who can use this
- The program primarily assists residents of South King County, but those in ZIP code 98106 should contact Byrd Barr Place, while those in 98146 and 98178 will be served by MSC, regardless of their Seattle city limits residency. To qualify, gross household income must be at or below 150% of the Federal Poverty Level for LIHEAP and at or below 80% Area Median Income for PSE HELP. Assistance is available once per program year for each program, and the account must be in the name of the client or a household member. Even those who pay for heat through their rent can apply for energy assistance. The programs cater to residents of private, public, and subsidized housing, and there is no requirement for overdue utility bills or shut-off notices. Only one air conditioning unit per household is permitted over a lifetime.
