Fees: Annual licensing fees are $60 for unaltered dogs/cats, $30 for altered dogs/cats, $15 for seniors/disabled individuals, and service animals are free.
Who can use this
- There are no restrictions on obtaining pet licenses; however, all dogs and cats aged 8 weeks and older in most areas of King County must be licensed. To qualify for the senior/disabled discount, the pet owner must be 65 or older or have a documented disability, and the pet must be altered. For service animals, the owner must have a documented disability and a statement confirming the animal's status as a service animal, which must also be altered. A service animal is defined as one that is trained or in training to assist individuals with disabilities and is registered with a recognized service animal organization.
