Fees: The annual licensing fees are as follows: Unaltered dog/cat: $60; Altered dog/cat: $30; Senior/disabled: $15; Service animal: Free.
Who can use this
- There are no restrictions for obtaining pet licenses. All dogs and cats aged 8 weeks or older in most areas of King County must have a license. To qualify for senior or disability discounts, the pet owner must be at least 65 years old or have a disability, and pets must be altered. For service animals, the owner must provide a statement confirming that the animal is a trained service animal, which is defined as any animal trained to assist individuals who are blind, hearing impaired, or otherwise disabled, and registered with a recognized service animal organization.
