About this resource
This initiative strives to reduce the costs of licensed child care for families who might not meet the criteria for other subsidies or need extra help. It specifically caters to families in King County whose income is at or below 85% of the State Median Income.
Application Procedure: Applications can be submitted online, and assistance is available via phone if needed. Some applicants may need to first apply for the Working Connections Child Care Subsidy and include a denial letter with their Best Starts application.
Cost: There are no fees associated with this program.
Who can use this
- To qualify, families must reside in King County, have a household income below 85% of the State Median Income, have children aged 12 or younger, and utilize a licensed child care provider in Washington State.
