This program offers lower rates for water, wastewater, surface water, and garbage services aimed at low-income seniors and permanently disabled residents. It also provides tax rebates for older adults and disabled individuals who incur other utility costs.
To apply, you can either call for information or download the application from the city’s website. Navigate to 'Government', then 'Finance', followed by 'Utility Billing', and under 'General Information', select 'Reduced Rates'.
There are no associated fees.
Who can use this
- Eligible applicants include Renton Utility customers aged 61 or older or those who are permanently disabled, with a household income below $84,000 annually for a single person, and an additional $5,000 for each extra resident.
