About this resource
This program aids individuals receiving DSHS public assistance in acquiring a Washington State ID card at a reduced rate from the Department of Licensing. DSHS case workers will complete a form that clients can present at DOL to obtain the card for just $5.
Intake Procedure: Contact or go to any Community Service Office.
Fees: ID Card: $5.
Who can use this
- Individuals receiving public assistance from DSHS, including those on financial and food assistance, are eligible. Those under 25 without a permanent address do not require a DSHS letter and can confirm their eligibility at the time of ID issuance at the driver licensing office.
