About this resource
This program offers financial support to low-income families, immigrants, refugees, pregnant women, and individuals who are elderly, blind, or disabled, including TANF/WorkFirst, AREN, Diversion Cash Assistance, Refugee Cash Assistance, and ABD.
Intake Process: Individuals can call, visit the website, or go to any Community Service Office (CSO) to request an application. Once the online or paper application is submitted, the Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS) will send a letter outlining the interview process. Clients requiring urgent financial aid should consult their case manager. Additionally, the phone line features a callback option (virtual hold), allowing callers to enter their number and receive a return call when it is their turn. Callers may interact with multiple representatives; the initial contact will be a navigator who will assess the call to determine the best assistance available for the caller's needs.
Cost: No fees are associated with this program.
