Who can use this
- There are no restrictions for obtaining pet licenses; however, King County requires licenses for all dogs and cats aged 8 weeks or older in most areas. To qualify for the senior/disabled discount, the pet owner must be at least 65 years old or have a documented disability, and the pet must be altered. For service animals, the owner must have a documented disability and a statement verifying the animal's status as a service animal, which must also be altered. A service animal is defined as an animal trained to assist individuals with disabilities and registered with a recognized organization.
