Offers complimentary transportation through volunteer services to individuals aged 60 and above for tasks like grocery shopping and medical visits.
Intake Process: Prospective clients should contact the office directly. If the initial inquiry comes from a third party, it must be followed by a direct request from the individual seeking assistance. During the application process, the agency will conduct a home visit to evaluate the client's needs. It is recommended that clients request rides at least one week in advance.
Costs: There are no fees associated.
Who can use this
- To qualify, clients must be adults aged 55 and older residing in the service areas and face challenges using public transportation, such as limited service or no direct routes, live independently, have the ability to be transported by volunteers, understand the program, manage personal hygiene, and be safe at home and in the community.
