Byrd Barr Place
Community Resource
About this resource
This initiative provides both perishable and non-perishable food items to the residents of Seattle. It also offers home delivery services for individuals who are home-bound and occasionally supplies pet food. Clients are allowed to visit the pantry once a week to collect pre-packaged bags of food items, which can be picked up at the front.
Intake Procedure: Clients should visit in person on a first-come, first-served basis. It is advisable to arrive 30 minutes early before the market opens. Bringing your own bags is encouraged. Although the Food Pantry’s phone number may resemble a personal number, it is actually answered by the Food Pantry Director.
Fees: There are no fees associated with this service.
Who can use this
- This service is available to Seattle residents and individuals experiencing homelessness, with a policy of not turning anyone away, though home deliveries are currently not offered.
