This organization manages 45 properties that provide affordable and HUD-subsidized rental housing in Seattle, catering to families, couples, and individuals with moderate to low incomes.
Intake Procedure: Interested individuals can call, email, or visit the website to learn about availability and the application process. For UNSUBSIDIZED, BELOW-MARKET apartments, there are no wait lists; vacancies are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. For SUBSIDIZED apartments, wait lists are in place, and applicants must complete a single master application while indicating the specific properties they wish to apply for. Community Roots Housing does not accept Portable Screening Reports.
Fees: Rental rates and deposits differ based on location and the type of housing.
Who can use this
- Families, couples, and individuals with moderate to low incomes, adhering to specific income limits. Most apartments require income levels between 30% and 80% of the Area Median Income.
