About this resource
The DD Ombuds functions as a watchdog, overseeing and reporting on the services offered in Washington state to identify possible instances of abuse and neglect affecting individuals with developmental disabilities.
Intake Procedure: Individuals can either call or visit the website to complete a complaint form. The DD Ombuds assesses each complaint to decide on the appropriate course of action. While the DD Ombuds will review all complaints, it may not conduct an investigation in every case. If additional information is required, a representative from the DD Ombuds will reach out to the client, provided they have given adequate contact details.
Fees: There are no charges for this service.
Who can use this
- Individuals with developmental disabilities who are receiving state services qualify for assistance from the DD Ombuds.
