Jurisdiction over civil cases is limited to those with an amount in controversy not exceeding $100,000.
Intake Process: To initiate a civil action, a written complaint must be filed with the court. Following the payment of the filing fee, the court will issue a Summons and Complaint Notice. The defendant is required to respond within 20 days of receiving the summons.
