This initiative delivers care coordination and support related to pregnancy and parenting, featuring home visits for individuals on Medicaid and first-time parents. It also extends help and guidance to families with children who have intricate medical requirements.

Intake Procedure: To schedule an appointment, please call. Services are available at the clinic, in clients' homes, within the community, via phone, or through video calls. Family Ways participants can reach out by phone, visit the website, or self-refer.

Fees: There are no charges. The program only bills WA Apple Health (Medicaid). Family Ways is complimentary and does not charge for its services.

Who can use this

First Steps: Participants must be receiving or eligible for WA Apple Health (Medicaid). Nurse-Family Partnership: assists low-income pregnant individuals expecting their first child and their infants up to age 2. Children and Youth with Special Health Care Needs: supports families with children aged birth to 18 who have complex health issues or newly diagnosed conditions requiring assistance. Family Ways: welcomes all families who identify as part of our three community groups (Native American/Alaska Native, Pacific Islander/Native Hawaiian, and U.S. born Black/African American) who are pregnant or parenting children up to age 5, with no income restrictions. Participants must reside in King County.
