About this resource
This program provides nutritional support and educational resources for low-income pregnant and post-partum women, infants, and children under five years old. Families typically receive benefits worth approximately $150 each month. During the summer months, participants may also obtain extra vouchers for farmers markets.
To apply, individuals can either call or fill out an online form to check their eligibility and schedule an appointment. Services can be provided through home visits, at the office, or at other locations. Applicants will undergo a nutrition assessment to evaluate their nutritional risk. Additionally, fathers, grandparents, and other caregivers are permitted to enroll their children in the WIC program.
There are no associated fees.
Who can use this
- Residents of Washington state who are at or below 185% of the Federal Poverty Level and have a nutritional risk are eligible, including pregnant individuals, postpartum parents, and children under five.
