About this resource
The initiative trains and places community volunteers in elementary schools to help young students develop strong literacy abilities. Volunteers provide individualized support to enhance students' learning rates.
Intake Procedure: Teachers at participating schools may refer students for assistance.
Fees: There are no charges for this service.
Who can use this
- Provides one-on-one support to K-4th grade students whose literacy skills lag one month to two and a half years behind grade level standards.
